Does Kodo work offline?
Yes: local files, downloaded AI models, formatting, SQLite and local web previews work offline. Download AI models first. SSH, SFTP, FTP and GitHub require a connection.
Can I run Python, PHP or Swift on the device?
You can edit these files. Kodo does not execute or compile Python, PHP or Swift locally; use SSH to run them on your computer or server. HTML, CSS and JavaScript run in the web preview.
Do I have to use AI?
No. Editing, previews and file tools are usable without AI. Local AI speed and model capacity depend on your device and available memory.
Is Kodo free?
Yes. Kodo is currently free, with no account or subscription. It requires iOS or iPadOS 18 or later.
